Meet these amazing Sickle Cell warriors whose lives have been transformed at BBF Free Clinics. 💙 Inspired by their journeys? You have the power to make a difference—your support can bring hope and healing to even more individuals. 🙌✨ Meet Hope Christopher Dagba, a 4-year old girl diagnosed with Delayed Developmental Milestone—today, after just one year with BBF, she’s hitting milestones we once only dreamed of. The Faruk family, with four children suffering from severe Sickle Cell Disease, experienced chronic monthly hospital admissions for over 12 years. Following our intervention, all four children have enjoyed over five months free from hospital visits, are pain-free, and have fully resumed their school activities. Meet Harmony Ochege, a brave 2‑year‑old with cerebral palsy who’s been with BBF for 5 months. Her mom now celebrates stronger neck control, improved coordination, and bright new smiles. Dimininu (6-year old) and her sister Ewa Ajibade (4-year old), both diagnosed with sickle cell disease, once endured regular painful crises, swollen hands, and chest discomfort. Since starting the treatment, they’ve been entirely free of pain and crises, and all the swelling has vanished. The Brain and Body Foundation is a registered non-profit dedicated to making essential nutrients and healthcare solutions accessible to those in need. Our commitment is simple yet powerful: We C.A.R.E. for All…
Our Vision
To be the reference center for sustainable healthcare solutions, empowering individuals with brain disorders and chronic conditions (such as sickle cell disease, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer) to harness their natural healing abilities.
Our Mission
We deploy innovative, science-backed interventions through integrated clinical consultations, educational outreach, advocacy, and research—bridging the gap between proven nutraceutical solutions and underserved communities.
$1 Million USD
channeled towards interventionsOver the past decade (2015–2025), the Brain and Body Foundation (BBF) has allocated ~$1 million (₦1.5 billion) in evidence‑based nutraceuticals, partnerships, and clinical programs—reaching over 6,000 medically fragile children—empowering families, reducing healthcare disparities, and building a lasting legacy of improved health outcomes across Nigeria.
Focus Areas
How BBF Is Fighting BackAt the Brain & Body Foundation, we refuse to accept that geography or poverty should determine a child’s chance to survive. Through our C.A.R.E. framework:
We organize free clinics across 14 states, distributing CITAMIL (Vitamin C, D₃, Zinc) and other life‑saving nutrients to over 6,000 medically fragile children since 2015.
By partnering with the Federal Ministry of Health, BBF maximizes its impact in Nigeria, across Africa, and beyond through partnerships with public and private organizations. Our community outreach, and research help shape Nigeria’s national health policy on sickle cell disease and neurological disorders, in cooperation with government agencies, international bodies, and academic institutions.
Building on our clinical success, BBF spearheaded a study on “The Role of Vitamin D₃ in sickle cell disease management”. The project uses patient cohorts from Massey Street Children’s Hospital, Ifako‑Ijaye General Hospital, and Isolo General Hospital in Lagos State as a pilot, with plans to expand across Nigeria and other African countries.
Our award‑winning TV show and community seminars teach parents and local health workers how to manage crises, recognize stroke warning signs, and maintain long‑term wellness.
Each year, 150,000 Nigerian infants are born with sickle cell disease (SCD), and without early care, up to 90% won’t reach age five.
Project SCD Nigeria is BBF’s flagship sickle cell initiative—partnering with Embrace Kids Foundation, Tackle Sickle Cell, the Federal Ministry of Health, and others—to cut childhood mortality and improve quality of life for children with SCD.
From December 2022 to June 2024, we’ve enrolled over 5,000 children on CITAMIL (distributing 25,000+ bottles) and cut crisis‑to‑clinic response times by 40%.

Success Stories: What Families Are Saying
Why Your Donation Matters
Only around 3% of Nigerians have any form of health insurance, leaving the vast majority of medically fragile children without access to essential medications.
Your gift changes lives. Every ₦30,000 (approx. $20 USD) provides a month’s supply of vital nutrients for children with brain disorders and sickle cell disease. Your support helps us:
Reach more remote villages with mobile clinics
Supply essential medications where it’s needed most
Train community health workers in stroke prevention and SCD management
Advocate for nationwide newborn screening
